The Battle Belongs to the Lord

Trusting in the Lord
Many Christians, including myself, have had to declare with regularity, “Lord, I trust You!” We have read and heard teachings that “The Battle Belongs to the Lord!” However, we tend to do two things. One, we either fight until we are exhausted and at the end of our rope; or we sit back and do nothing and purport to be trusting God in the matter. I don’t believe either are Scriptural.

A principle wrongly attributed to Scripture is “God helps those who help themselves.” This statement is from Aesop and later Benjamin Franklin. However, when we study the Scriptures, we see that there is truth to this idiom. God helps us, but there is action required on our part. Many examples come to mind, but let me just share these with you.

Send In the Praisers!
In 2 Chronicles 20, the people of Israel are backed up into a place they cannot escape the three great armies coming at them. Any one of the armies were big enough to annihilate the Israelites, but these wicked armies came together to make sure they wiped Israel off the face of the earth. (Where have we heard that before?) A prophet spoke up after they all had fasted and prayed, and said, “Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.”

Did the Israelites lay around, eat popcorn, and wait to see how God would swoop in to save them? No! However, they did gain wisdom to do something out of the norm.

Apostolic product flows from prophetic purpose

Apostolic product will emanate from prophetic purpose. Nehemiah's rebuilding of Jerusalem, for example, was both catalysed and contextualised by Jeremiah's seventy-year prophecy concerning the captivity and restoration. And then during the post-exilic restoration Haggai, Zechariah and Malachi continued to provide the same prophetic catalyst and context for the re-building. Likewise, in the final restoration of all things the ministry and message of the prophet will provide the necessary revelation and blueprint. Therefore, apostolic product without prophetic purpose is pointless. It is, in fact, the foundation upon which all apostles should build.

As it was with the first, so will it be with the last. The wise master-builder (architecton) of Paul's day was both architect and builder. Paul, as a prophet, received the blueprint for God's house; but as an apostle, constructed it. The former flows from the spirit of revelation; the latter from the spirit of wisdom. As a type of Christ's apostleship, Moses also reflects this dual function. He not only received the pattern in the mount, as a prophet; but also, as an apostle, built the house (Heb 3:1-2; Deut 34:10). We can now see how easily the apostle and prophet are the joint foundation of the living temple (Eph 2:20).

Moving between the two functions

This is not to deny some are apostles and some are prophets. I am not suggesting that all prophets are called as apostles, but I am suggesting that all true apostles will function as prophets, in some measure. Apostles will move between the two functions depending on circumstances and the leading of the Spirit (the Didache also carries hints of this overlap).

Nor am I suggesting that apostles will not function in the other ascension-gift ministries of Ephesians 4. Clearly, we see today apostles who are pastors, or evangelists, or teachers to the body of Christ, which is appropriate. What I am suggesting is that as we approach this climax of the ages and the "fullness of the gentiles" (i.e. the final harvest of the nations) we will see a restoration of the kind of apostleship that opened the gentile era. "The first shall be last" in that the first mode of apostleship will be the last to be restored.

Primary role of apostles

In closing, a word must be said concerning the primary role of apostles as stewards of the "faith once delivered to the saints." Christ sends apostles to the church and to the nations with the mandate and prime responsibility for not only the expansion, but also the continuity of Christ's kingdom on earth. This is pre-eminently a discipling and teaching mandate and ministry. A revelation of God and his purposes was given to the first apostles and enscripturated, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, as sacred text. It is the responsibility of apostles, as teachers, to perpetuate the gospel through faithfully teaching the word of God. Christianity has content, a body of truth, which is to be conveyed to each generation. This is the true meaning of "apostolic succession". It is not the succession of apostolic office, but of the apostolic faith. True apostles therefore are not church planters only, or entrepreneurs, CEOs, and administrators. Like Paul, they are prophets and teachers. Even so, as Paul underlined, we have many teachers but not many fathers. This calls for the disicipling side of the apostolic equation where apostles invest themselves in those who have the character and the grace to do likewise, and thus ensure the expansion and continuity of the faith.

Recalibration necessary

In light of the above some recalibration will be necessary. Many apostles, under the weight of the dominant paradigms, are prophets in denial. Many others currently graced to function apostolically may be pastor-teachers, or supports and governments, as members of an apostolic team.

We are grateful for a generation of apostles who have emerged through the pastor-teacher paradigm. Even so, as the full day comes and the body of Christ approaches full stature we will see a supernatural proliferation of apostle-prophets released in the Pauline mould. Only then will the gentile mission be completed—the fullness of Christ revealed and the nations filled with the knowledge of his glory.

I trust these brief thoughts may be sufficient to stir a fresh pursuit and a fuller appropriation of all God has destined for his people through the ministry of apostles and prophets.

Pastor Merzek Botros från Centrumkyrkan i Sundbyberg och Global Gemenskap ser en väckelse ibland arabisktalande migranter och nytillkomna människor till vårt land.

Detta har resulterat i nytt liv i många församlingar runt om i landet och det har väckt ett behov av ett samarbete angående språket och biblar och annan litteratur på arabiska bland annat.

För två år sedan restes ett stort tält på Järvafältet, efter att Merzek tillsammans med sin församling fått en vision om väckelse ibland arabisktalande. Konferensen blev en stor succé och förläggs i år till Solnahallen.

Visionen har växt genom den senaste tidens flyktingströmmar till Sverige och Merzek tror i dag på en väckelse som kommer att beröra hela landet och hela Sveriges befolkning.

Konferensens tema är:

Varje dag inleds med bön i samarbete med Sverigebönen, One Heart Church och XP-Media som också erbjuder ett bokbord under konferensen.

Bönemötet är konferensens hjärta där vi tillsammans lovsjunger och upphöjer vi Honom, Jesus Kristus som Herre och Konung.

Genom bönen får vi vara med och röja väg för väckelse i Sverige. Vi får stå på muren i bön för landets politiska ledning, vi ber för säkerhetsläget och för flyktingsituationen i landet.

Vi ber för Sveriges kristenhet, för enhet genom Den Helige Ande.

"Gudskvinnor – Ert största uppvaknande är över er!”

Nyligen då jag satt med Herren, omgavs jag av den mest fan­tastiska uppmuntran och rörelse i min själ, rörande Guds­kvinnor: ”Mina döttrar, ert största uppvaknande (väckelse) är över er!”

Jag hörde mig börja profetera: ”Gudskvinnor – ert största uppvaknande är över er!”

Jag blev överväldigad av dessa två fraser och kände omedelbart att Herren talade till mig om det största upp­vaknande vi någonsin har sett hos kvinnor i Kristi Kropp, det händer JUST NU och Han väcker kvinnor till att:

1. Se sin identitet som Hans DÖTTRAR.

2. Han låter sina döttrar mogna i uppenbarelsen just nu till KVINNOR – ett UPPVÄCKANDE av deras auktoritet och större ansvar.

"Jag väcker mina döttrar. Jag väcker kvinnor i församlingen till det som de är och som jag har kallat dem till. Det här är säsongen då kvinnor tänds av min kärlekseld som aldrig förr – för att brinna för mig, väcker deras gåvor av kreativitet och smörjelse över deras liv.”

Jag såg i detta Gudsmöte kvinnor i ALLA deras roller, som väcks av eld och vaknar till sina gåvor, kreativitet och inflytande. Från mödrar, till lärare, talare, advokater, författare, missionärer, målare, artister, dansare, stu­denter, profeter, till pastorer … Jag såg kvinnor VÄCKTA till sin sfär av inflytande över HELA Kristi Kropp.

PLÖTSLIGT kommer eld att falla från himlen, som i Apostlagärningarna – som en MÄKTIG BRUSANDE VIND och kvinnor kommer PLÖTSLIGT VAKNA och UTGÖRA en helt ny nivå av ÖKNING. Detta kommer att bli speciellt på områden där de känner sig överväldigade och känner att de inte kommer att överleva; Guds eld faller och ”det som knappast överlevt” förvandlas till ”FRUKTBART BLOMSTRANDE”!

”Jag väcker och förlöser KREATIVITET på nya nivåer i kvinnor i hela Kristi Kropp. Dörrar för signifikant favör öppnas för dem och de kommer att placeras på platser med stor influens för att förlösa en överföring från mitt hjärta och kärlek på de områdena. Kreativitet kommer INTE LÄNGRE förbli inlåst hos många kvinnor.

”Kreativiteten kommer INTE LÄNGRE hindras. Jag ANDAS på kreativiteten i hela Kristi Kropp på mina döttrar för att de ska höjas till en helt ny nivå av kreativitet och eld. Explosiva dörrar av kreativ favör öppnas detta år!”

Jag kallar er "Kvinnor med syfte!"

I detta möte med Herren såg jag SYFTETS DNA förlösas över kvinnor i hela Kristi Kropp då de fortsätter söka Hans hjärta. Så Hans döttrar fortsätter ge Herren sitt JA, SYFTE!

”Jag kallar er KVINNOR MED SYFTE för jag FÖRLÖSER ER ÄNNU MER in i ert SYFTE i den här tiden

och RESER ER UPP som mäktiga kvinnor som vet vem ni är i mig, för att FÖRLÖSA SYFTET hos andra och SKAPA OCH FÖRÄNDRA HISTORIEN! Detta är den tid då jag reser upp mina döttrar med ett NYTT, HÖG­LJUTT RYTANDE!”

Jag reser upp kvinnor med ett nytt rytande!

"Jag reser upp ett nytt rytande av auktoritet i mina döttrar i hela världen. Djupare möten kommer för mina döttrar över hela jorden just nu, som är ett väckande RYTANDE, som jag har lagt ner inom dem. Jag reser upp kvinnor med ett NYTT RYTANDE som kommer från en plats av intimitet – som kommer att se kvinnor PLÖTSLIGT placerade på SIGNIFIKANTA och STRATEGISKA platser av influens för att förlösa mitt RYTANDE av min kärlek och auktoritet, i en ställning mot orättfärdighet i mitt namn och se banbrytande genombrott och skiften.”

Positioner med stort inflytande

"SURPRISE! SURPRISE! SURPRISE! NI ÄR NU PLACERADE I LÄGE FÖR DEN NYA UPPGIFTEN!”

Jag hörde dessa ord igen och igen. Jag såg en karta över världen och jag såg kvinnor poppa upp på positioner med inflytande över hela världen! Från mödrar till profeter i möten med världens ledare, jag såg Herren förlösa FÖRVÅNANDE POSITIONER för kvinnor i hela Kristi Kropp – över hela världen, i denna tid för NYA UPPGIFTER!

Herren förlöser nya uppdrag, ny inriktning och nya uppgifter, och detta är PRECIS DET som Herren har förberett dig för i den här säsongen.

Jag hörde Herren säga:

"Jag förlöser en PIONJÄRSANDA över kvinnor i Kristi Kropp just nu. Jag BRYTER kedjor av FRUKTAN, jämförelse och osäkerhet över kvinnor då de pressar sig närmare mig och reser upp dem med MOD för gå dit andra inte har gått – för att vara pionjärer i nya uppgifter, nya länder, nya uppdrag för mig, som HISTORIEN KOMMER ATT SKRIVA OM!

"Många av mina döttrar är redo att kliva in just nu i denna säsong som HISTORIEN kommer skriva om efter­som jag förlöser kvinnor som oförfärade krigare från en plats av gudomlig kärlek, väckta till min kärlek, som kom­mer att inta mark och förlösa ljudet av SEGER i hela världen på ett totalt nytt sätt.

"PRECIS PÅ DE PLATSER där fienden har försökt att tysta mina döttrar och gömma dem, är de områden där jag kommer att TÄNDA med min favör, omsorg och förökning i denna säsong för att se SYFTET förlöst I OCH GENOM DEM.”

Betydande befordran för kvinnor

"Det kommer en BETYDANDE befordran för mina döttrar i den här tiden, som de har förvaltat väl med renhet. Där de har uppträtt med renhet och integritet förlöser jag stor befordran.

Jag såg bokavtal på hög nivå, dörrar med extravagant favör inom media, regering, affärer, konst och utbildning flyga upp PÅ VID GAVEL för kvinnor i den här säsongen. Det är för dem som har följt den Helige Andes led­ning och gett Honom sitt ja – Han flyttar dem till en plats av befordran och favör bortom deras vildaste dröm­mar.

”Drömmar uppfylls PLÖTSLIGT för mina döttrar i hela Kristi Kropp. Det är dags! Det är dags! Det är dags för mina döttrar att resa sig! Jag har sparat det bästa till sist! Guldbefordran och favör kommer över mina döttrar som har sagt JA. Nu kallas alla Esther fram! Du har blivit förberedd! Res dig! Res dig! Res dig! Göm dig inte! Nu är det dags att RESA SIG och SKINA, så som du har blivit kallad, vet att du har blivit förberedd och har ALLT du behöver för att utföra ALLT som jag ber dig om att göra på din plats av inflytande.”

We live in fascinating times. Israel is being restored before our very eyes. The Middle East is becoming more and more the central focus of most of the challenges facing the world today. Once again, Israel appears to be at the core of world tensions and questions.
The Bible tells us that since the calling of Abraham and the promise of blessings through his posterity (Gen 12), the nations have been facing a major challenge:

• to accept God’s sovereign choice and be positioned to be a blessing to the Jewish people and Israel, or
• to rebel and deny that Israel has played, is playing and will play a central role for the blessing of God upon the nations until the end of time.

Shoulder to Shoulder (As the Lion Advances)

John 13:35
By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.

The Holy Spirit showed me a vision of an army standing side-by-side behind the Lion of Judah, who is the Lamb of God. To my left and to my right I could see my brothers and sisters in Christ and the army was not assembled in the way that one would expect. Instead of being lined up one behind the other we instead formed a single, massive line that spanned around the circumference of the entire earth.

Instead of swords and weapons we each held a bowl out in front of us and were pouring the contents out on the ground as we advanced. Some of us had oil, some of us water, some of us perfume and others salt. As our Leader advanced, so did we. As we progressed forward over dry and cracked earth and poured out the contents of our bowls, life began to return. Behind us, people dressed in grey and tattered rags began to emerge and follow and, as they came nearer, their dull garments changed to robes of intense and bright colour.

Jesus is calling for unity in His army. Each of us carried different expressions of God’s power and love; each of the different bowls represented different streams and blessings of the church, world-wide. Just as in the vision we were so tightly packed, side by side, that nothing could have broken through, so also we need to stand shoulder to shoulder with those from other churches and groups, those to our left and our right. Together we are Christ’s body. The call to advance has come. The call to pour out that anointing that each of us has, onto a thirsty and weary land, has come!

Who do we follow? A lion who is also the meek and humble lamb. What do we pour out? His love, healing, restoration and righteousness. As we walk in unity we will attract those who are orphaned and they shall be restored.

Isaiah 44:3
For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour out my Spirit on your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants.

Romans 12: 5
For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.
