And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.’” “Child, the church will and already is growing cold with a great coldness. It is largely because many have embraced fiction as Scripture. The Gospel of the Kingdom is not entertainment. It is not escapism. Every time My Son began a story with, ‘The Kingdom of heaven is like...’ He did not share a story of entertainment but that of extremes. “As in the Days of Noah, so shall be the coming of the Son of Man. Behold darkness covers the earth and gross darkness on the people. My Son and scribes have all warned that as you approach the end of this dispensation there will be perilous times. He also made clear those times would proceed His coming. Did He not? Did He not say that His coming would be for all to see? Does lightning hide itself at its approach? “When Jesus returns it will be a glorious event, but all who have caused My church to grow cold for false teachings shall be gathered with the tares and burned. My Son's coming shall shock the earth, but it will not be a secret event. Immediately after the tribulation of those perilous days, when the Son of Man appears, He will descend with a shout, the voice of the archangel, and My trumpet will sound. “Do not be overcome by the darkness or cold love. Be My children of light. Be My children of the day. Forum för levande historias minnesceremoni

Igår på Förintelsens minnesdag den 27 januari arrangerade Forum för levande historia en minnesceremoni för offren i Förintelsen och de som stod upp för människovärdet och gjorde motstånd.

Bland andra medverkar Livia Fränkel, statsminister Stefan Löfven och riksdagens talman Andreas Norlén. För musiken står Sofia Karlsson och pianisten Martin Hederos. 

Dessutom medverkar Eva Lecerof, som kom till Sverige som barnflykting undan Förintelsen, berättaren Amanda Glans, Bagir Kwiek vars familj drabbades av nazisternas förintelsepolitik, Forum för levande historias överintendent Ingrid Lomfors samt den amerikanska historikern Carol Rittner

Förintelsens Minnesdag

Idag den 27 januari högtidlighålls Förintelsen Minnesdag runt om i hela världen. 
I Sveriges riksdag inbjöd Riksdagsnätverket Minnet av Förintelsen till en minnesstund i förmiddags och den kan ses i efterhand här:

Många andra minnestunder hålls på olika platser i Sverige. 

I Stockholm sker högtidlighållande i ett samarbete mellan Judiska Församlingen i Stockholm, Föreningen Förintelsens överlevande, Forum för levande historia, Svenska kommittén mot antisemitism och Judiska museet.

 Prayer for a Pandemic

May we who are merely inconvenienced
Remember those whose lives are at stake.
May we who have no risk factors
Remember those most vulnerable.
May we who have the luxury of working from home
Remember those who must choose between preserving their health or making their rent.
May we who have the flexibility to care for our children when their schools close
Remember those who have no options.
May we who have to cancel our trips
Remember those that have no safe place to go.
May we who are losing our margin money in the tumult of the economic market
Remember those who have no margin at all.
May we who settle in for a quarantine at home
Remember those who have no home.
As fear grips our country,
let us choose love.
During this time when we cannot physically wrap our arms around each other,
Let us yet find ways to be the loving embrace of God to our neighbors.
Amen.
