I Am the Light!
John 8:12 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life." NKJV
Christians are not to be defined by depression, fear, anxiety or worry. Many in the Body of Christ struggle with depression and discouragement, worries and fear. I see that in Finland, many struggle with depression and are never really taught that Jesus Christ heals and sets people free who are in a condition of darkness and despair. Doctors often justify this condition and allow people to define themselves by the pain of this condition. Jesus has come to set you free. That is reality. You are not to live a life defined by your pain but by your freedom.
We walk in the light, as He is in the light. There is a place IN CHRIST where we are above all earthly cares and live in His peace and rest. Jesus says "Follow Me!" Follow the Light and where He leads, you shall have the light of life. At the point where you choose to stand still, the light begins to dim and the shadows of depression and discouragement begin to come into focus. Don't stand still in any current condition. Follow the light and you shall not walk in darkness but have the light of life.
The dark oppression of the enemy will paralyze you, wanting you to stop walking in the revelation of the light of Christ Jesus. Darkness can surround you, and obscure your vision. Shadows and enveloping darkness surround you. There is a heaviness that comes upon you and causes you to enter an atmosphere of death and not life.
The Gospel of Jesus Christ will set you free. He is enough!
Walk in the present reality of Christ Jesus. Walk! Don't stop. When we walk in Christ and with Christ, we walk in an ever increasing revelation of who He is - Healer, Deliverer. When you walk with Him, you go from glory to glory with Him and in Him. The light which is your life, increases and you LIVE.
The truth of Jesus Christ illuminates light and life. The enemy seeks to bring destruction and darkness. Which do you want? Many people accept depression, worry, fear and anxiety as something to be tolerated in their lives. Get out of the shadows. Get out of the darkness and get into the light of the Living Word and be free to walk with Him.
